Sometimes selfishness is necessary
In this life of ours, we will inevitably fall into confusion, there will be times of hesitation, standing at the crossroads and looking around, not knowing where to go.
This is normal, even the great writer Balzac once complained like this:
I need to rest to rejuvenate my brain. Traveling can give me a rest. But to be able to travel, I must have money. In order to earn money, I must work... I am caught in a vicious circle. It is impossible to escape from the clutches.
Life will make things difficult for everyone, but some people can get out quickly, and some people will always struggle in the whirlpool.
If you are in confusion at this moment, you might as well listen to the next few words, think about them, and they may make your eyes shine.
1. What is difficult to do and what should be done are often the same thing.
If you feel that the road you are currently taking is very difficult and you are considering whether to give up, I suggest you not make a decision in a hurry.
First think carefully, try to verify, and see if the direction you are currently taking is correct and the method is correct.
If there is a problem with the direction or path, then give up as soon as possible. This is called "stop loss in time", but if there is no problem, please stick to it.
In many cases, the reason why some things are difficult to do, and the reason why some roads are difficult to walk, is because you are doing what you should do and on the way up.
Meaningful is often not easy, valuable is usually difficult, so hard work and persistence are so valuable.
2. You don't have to use other people's standards to frame your own life.
Many people are often confused when choosing a career, getting married and having children. They don’t know how to choose. They may have their own ideas in their minds, but they are not in line with family or secular standards.
My suggestion is to live the life you want. There is really no need to use other people's standards to measure your life.
Although this sounds selfish, after all, such behavior may hurt those who care about us.
But I still feel that it is necessary to be selfish. It would be painful and boring if we lived our lives as others expected instead of what we wanted.
Moreover, you may not be truly satisfied with those around you.
On the other hand, when you are truly enthusiastic and live happily, people who once opposed you will stand with you again.
Fourth, there are three things in this world that others cannot take away: one is the food eaten in the stomach; the second is the dream hidden in the heart; the third is the book that has been read.
In many cases, the reason why we are confused and hesitated is simply that we are too weak and have too much desire. In other words: ability cannot support ambition.
So, how is the ability cultivated?
Four words: hard work and persistence.
The books you have read, the skills you have learned, and the hard work you persist in are often not in vain. They will be transformed into a sharp sword on the road in the future, splitting the thorns and cutting the confusion.
The more a person is in confusion, the more he must calm down and grow. The faster he grows, the faster he can get out of confusion.
3.Since you are on the ship of life, be a happy "pirate".
Everyone’s life is full of dark clouds, and when there is lightning and thunder, there are also clear skies, spring blossoms, and people with different mentalities will have a different life.
As the saying goes, if you come, you will be safe.
We always say that the background of life is pain and sorrow, but now that we have embarked on the journey of life and got on the boat of life, it is better to be a happy "pirate", humming a little song no matter how big the storm is.
